jetsetters: @a6packofstories
This week’s Jetsetters are Bryan & Jessica–bloggers, beer enthusiasts, and two of our favorite twitter buddies (@a6packofstories). Not only are they planning an amazing trip to Munich, Salzburg, & Prague, but they’re detailing their plans (& anecdotes from past trips) on a travel blog we can totally get behind: asixpackofstories: behind every beer is an even greater story. We loved reading their answers… even if we are super jealous of their Loch Ness experience. Favorite place you’ve been: For both of us, it’s definitely Amsterdam. More importantly, favorite meal: Our favorite meals of all time were in Paris, where else!…

a love letter to red wine
I’m not the Romantic – this much we know is true. I don’t have a husband and my life is less candlelight and roses and more pubs and parties. But along the way, I have found a love that is true and deep and very real. My travels have taken me all over the world, and you, red wine, have been there for me through it all. I guess I can say I really fell in love during my semester abroad in Paris. How could I not? Long lunches at Parisian cafes, picnics in Jardin de Luxembourg, nights out with…

the dog days of summer
As the summer winds down, so do our weekend getaways (and unfortunately, the tiny bit of color and tons of freckles that we call our tans). This was the last scheduled weekend getaway for the romantic & the hubs this summer, and the wino stayed in New York for her own relaxing staycation. Down in Monmouth County, the romantic experienced the racetrack for her first time, followed by a family party. As usual, there was way too much food involved… From crabcakes to late night pizza with slices the the size of her head The wino walked her way around…

i love you, summer fridays
Ahhh Friday, je t’adore. There is no day that makes me happier than you do. Except perhaps Summer Fridays- the Fridays that fall between Memorial Day and Labor Day when offices across New York City set their employees free at 2:00pm (or in my roommate’s case, the office closes altogether.) Summer Fridays normally mean weekend getaways. Today, the Romantic is on her way to New Jersey for a family party. And me? I am on my couch catching up on Jersey Shore. This is a staycation weekend for me, which means good cheap fun in the Big Apple and maybe,…

the ten types of travelers
While my self-assigned Jetsetter title hasn’t been mine for very long, I’ve traveled with enough people to know that there are more than a few different kinds of travelers. Since most people don’t start out friendships or relationships in middle and high school knowing to ask what kind of traveler they are–or that this could be a very important bit of knowledge later in life–it was a lucky coincidence that the hubs, the wino, and I fit squarely in the same type. But we, along with everyone else, definitely fall into one of ten distinct travel types. 1. The “I…
