bucket list takedown: luke’s lobster
My favorite thing in the world, second only to drinking wine, is trying new foods. It’s no coincidence that many of my travel stories revolve around restaurants and cafes and a good number of my bucket list items have to do with food. See: Luke’s Lobster. This little gem of a food truck has been the object of my fascination since my move here last September. The Romantic and I avidly follow their tweets, anxiously awaiting their location announcement each day. And what luck! On Tuesday afternoon, they were parked only blocks from our office. two days in bruges // the hits & misses
After we settled on two days in Bruges for one of Euro trip stops, I kept reading that it was the “Venice of the north.” To be perfectly honest… that did make me a little nervous. We were in Venice last year for our honeymoon, and don’t get me wrong! Venice was absolutely gorgeous. But by the second day, we were itching to move onto Florence. jetsetters: iain mallory of @MalloryOnTravel
Today’s jetsetter is Iain Mallory, who was among the first travel bloggers we discovered. His Twitter feed is often one of our main No Travel Required resources, if we’re being honest. Plus, his most recent trip to the French Pyrénées had us seriously jealous. Enjoy his travel tales! Favourite Place: I do not really have anywhere I consider a favourite place, having enjoyed every destination I have visited. Usually the place I am currently visiting is…

bucket list takedown: the high line
I’m sad to say that this weekend I said goodbye to my pretty little Upper East Side apartment with exposed brick and a fireplace. After a treacherous 36-hour move from Manhattan to Pennsylvania in the October Blizzard (?!?!) I returned to the city on Sunday and started my three and a half week stint as a hobo. Being homeless in New York City has its perks. My bank account surely enjoys the break from paying rent, and staying at the Romantic’s place means good food and wine almost every night. But the hard truth is that I’m living out of…
