this is the time we got locked in a dungeon

Though our #LTeuropa reunion recaps are slowly coming to an end, we still have one story left to share. It’s a harrowing tale…one of terror, loss, and definite possibilities for ghost sightings. It’s the time we got locked in the dungeon of our Go with Oh apartment. We’ve gone back and forth on how to tell this story–which has since been referred to only as “the incident.” Some of us still haven’t fully healed from that night. Some of us never will… But finally, we’re ready. We’re going to tell you our story, and we’re going to do it the best way we know how. Via GIF. It all started after our BBQ. With one…

where to sleep in prague: a somewhat comprehensive guide

Like most of our #LTeuropa adventure, we split up our stay in Prague between two different types of accommodations: a luxury hotel and an apartment stay. This pretty much makes us experts on where to stay in Prague, right? Well, experts or not, we’ve got you covered–whether you prefer five-star hotels or sticking to budget-friendly room shares. Et viola! Live like  a queen. As our beloved city guide, Milos, confirmed–there’s no better luxury hotel in Prague than the Four Seasons. Having visited the Four Season Gresham Palace in Budapest at the beginning of our trip, we were chomping at the bit to see their property in Prague. After a one night stay, we can confirm wholeheartedly…

no travel required: #frifotos

When it comes to liquor, our ignorance knows no bounds. Gin smells like bad Christmas, vodka tastes like rubbing alcohol, and why sit back with a smoky glass of scotch when you could just stick your head in a campfire and inhale? We just don’t get it. Perhaps we’ll never be sophisticated enough to enjoy a Sidecar, but our time at the Four Seasons Gresham Palace raised a different concern: is our disinterest in cocktails because we’ve gone too long without leaving it to the masters? This week’s FriFotos theme is “silver,” and we were hard-pressed to come up with something (we’re more gold girls, really). That is, until we took a peek back at…

#lteuropa bucket list takedown: travel to prague

After seven full days in Vienna spent conquering our #LTeuropa bucket list, it was time to bid adieu to Austria and board a train to Prague. Having never been to Central or Eastern Europe, we knew we wanted to see as many cities as we could during our two week stay, and the trip from Vienna to Prague seemed like an easy way to end our #LTeuropa itinerary. Easy? Perhaps. We took an early morning train and didn’t have to switch trains or routes anywhere along the journey. Buuut enjoyable it was not, thanks to pretty massive hangovers from our Viennese barbecue the night before. In spite of the four hour train ride and the…

#lteuropa bucket list takedown: throw an american barbecue

When we decided to hunker down in Vienna for a full seven days–which is a lot of time to stay in one place in the Lazy Travelers’ universe–we knew if we didn’t come up with a list of things to occupy ourselves, we’d most likely spend our days and nights drinking too much wine and eating too many carbs. After racking our brains, want to know what we came up with first? Throw a party at our apartment so other people could join us drinking too much wine and eating too many carbs. Turns out this party was meant to be, because on the day of the party, the sun graced us with its presence…
