If you’ll recall, our very last week of our five month RTW was off to a stellar start, thanks to two very fulfilling days of rotten shark-eating and black death-imbibing in Reykjavik. But alas, it was time to move on! One huge perk of staying at Bus Hostel, as I mentioned, is that SADcars is conveniently located in the lobby. halló, reykjavik: our intro to iceland

Pre-Iceland, I had one stupid concern. I was irrationally worried that, based purely on the adjectives I’d heard to describe each country, Iceland would be like New Zealand light. Other-worldly, majestic, inspiring… New Zealand certainly fit the bill, so how was Iceland going to live up to that?  Yeah, dumbest fear ever. Yes, there were a lot of similarities—green, rolling hills, sheep randomly crossing the roads, beautifully colored bodies of water that don’t even look real. But culturally? love on the aegean: falling for montenegro

Post-Belgrade, we hopped on a bus and booked it for Montenegro. Even though this was a late edition to the itins, it’s long been on our list of places to explore and I am happy to report: it did not disappoint. When people ask about our trip, questions always include, “which stop was your favorite??” Even though it’s unlikely I’ll ever commit to one answer, Montenegro is a serious contender.
