style spotter: havana, cuba

Though we have a few things in mind for 2017, there’s one place that has long been calling our names. And, now that travel to this place has just recently become a possibility, we’re dying more than ever get ourselves to… Havana, Cuba. It should come as no surprise that we’re more than a little obsessed with Christmas here at LT HQ. If you follow us on Instagram, then you’ve probably noticed the recent onslaught of all things festive. (And if you don’t follow us on Instagram, then why the hell not?!). But, once the fairy dust has settled and all our ornaments are back in their boxes? Well, we hit a SEVERE slump. It’s…

#LTportugal // three nights in porto

Bear with us for a moment while we ask you to reach back into the far corner of your memory. Please remember that approximately four months ago when we went to Portugal. Yep, complete with a tour of the Douro Valley and three nights in Porto. Seems like a distant dream, right?? We spent a full week in Northern Portugal, drinking wine and exploring the Douro Valley, and bookended it all with a little preview of one of our new favorite cities: Porto. ALL WHILE YOU READ our 2016 holiday gift guide, but of course! (We’re ignoring America’s actual Grinch(es), and focusing only on the good we and those around us are doing. In the spirit of the holidays, we strongly recommend you do the same.) SO, because it’s important…

weekend warriors // 48 hours in copenhagen

In an effort to move forward around here, we’re carrying on with our content as planned for the rest of the year. It feels a little weird, to be honest, but, you know. Here we are. If you missed our post-election reflections, you can find them here. In the meantime, it’s back to our travel tales, little lazies! —– This is going to sound so dumb, but as we neared the end of the summer, I realized something. Based on our projected travel plans for the rest of 2016, I was scheduled to visit ZERO new countries! What the what?! This has been a year of returning to old favorites. And I am certainly not…

what now? // reflections on the american presidential election

The past 48 hours have taken a toll on us. On all of us. The American presidential election is over. Like so many, we waited for November 8, 2016 for a long time. After proudly casting our Pennsylvania state ballots, we watched the results come in on Tuesday night from our respective couches, across an ocean and across timezones, 3,500 miles apart. We were confident that the American people would elect the most qualified candidate; the person who had spent years fighting for women and children, supporting our beloved New York City during a time of tragedy and heartbreak, traveling the globe representing our country, and dedicating her life to the American people. We were…
