travel flashback: a parisian photo essay

theromanticOne year ago today, the hubs and I were on our way back from one of the best travel weekends we’ve had to date: a snowy weekend in Paris. As per usual, I’m feeling a bit nostalgic for a weekend of red wine and snowy cobblestoned streets, but while the wino and I prep for a few more big travel announcements in the coming weeks, I thought I’d give you a mindless break via Parisian photo essay to, you know. Just look at some pretty pictures from our trip.

Also, full disclosure: by “you,” I definitely mean myself. New York has frozen my brain, and if it has to be cold, I’d like to say, on record, that I would rather be frozen in Paris.

le tour

For one, how perfect does la tour look in this winter light?

And how beautiful are the buildings of Montmartre set against a gray sky? Psh, who even WANTS to see Paris with blue skies and warm weather?

(me, I do, moi. in all seasons.)

This man would look well less charming in shorts and a tank top, let’s be real.

QUOI? IS THAT NEIGE? Yes, just a light dusting, but OUI OUI OOUUII.

And what’s a little bit of ice without some fire to go with it?

Can’t tell what season it is here, but that’s just proof that the City of Lights sparkles in all seasons.

Gorgeous, toujours.

And that, mes amies, is a wrap on the Parisian photo essay du jour. Can someone please insist I book a return trip ASAP so I can do another? Thanks. I mean MERCI.

xo!

The Lazy Travelers are two transatlantic best friends who have mastered the art of exploring a new city. Though Ashley is based in London and Carolyn is in Philadelphia, we'll use any excuse to reunite around the world. We’re professional bar hoppers, pub crawlers, and food testers, and you’ll never see us zipping around, checking things off a list of “must-sees.”
