no travel required
We’re preoccupied, guys. It’s Thursday and we’re both enduring a rough work week. The wino’s is in the form of a bossy kid at the playground and the romantic’s is in the form of a cranky lady in the office, but both amount to the same thing: we’re wanderlusting. We’re not super picky, but for now, we’d rather be strolling along in Brighton than hiding from the crankiness in our lives. Can you blame us? musings on moving
WELP, it’s the day before the big move, and I am exhausted, abnormally sore (seriously, girl has gotta hit the gym), and overwhelmed. Like weddings, babies, and medical ailments, moving is one of those things that when you’re in the throes of it, it’s all you can think/breathe/talk about, but when someone else is doing it, you’re like “GOD, can’t you just SHUT UP already?” Unfortunately for you, I am in the midst of moving terror, so no, bitches, I CAN’T shut up about it. I’m also aware this all seems very non-travel related. Packing, of course, is travel related, but packing…

jetsetter: @MagsTheBlogger
Happiest Wine Wednesday! Today’s jetsetter is the perfect girl to accompany Wine Wednesday, as Mags’s interests include wine, bread, cheese, and drinking both day and night. When we saw that her twitter profile announced her as a binge drinker, we actually wondered if we should induct her as a best friend? OH AND, a little birdie (i.e. Mags herself) told us it’s her birthday week! So let’s all read her travel tales and wish the girl a happy birthday. Enjoy! Favorite Place: Paris, Paris, Paris! Total Parisian wannabe; a life of cheese and bread, drinking day and night, smoking like a…

advice from the unemployed
In my four month bout of unemployment, I’d have to say the worst part is hands down the inevitable “job search” conversation I’m forced to have time and time again with friends, family, friends of friends, and perfect strangers. I’ve come to dread social functions where I have to “catch-up” with people or introduce myself to someone new, mostly because the conversation normally goes like this: “What do you do again? Oh, babysitting? But what do you WANT to do? Are you looking for another job?” When I tell them what I studied in school and where my recent job…

words of hindsight and wisdom for a fifteen year old romantic
Once upon a time, in a small town in Pennsylvania, there was a 15 year old girl who met a 16 year old boy and they decided they liked each other. A lot. They spent an absurd amount of time together, and even though they knew they probably weren’t going to be together forever (they were overly logical 15 & 16 year olds), they still talked about how much fun it would be if they did maybe someday live together. The ultimate dream? A life in NYC. But with college plans and talks about the future and all the other…
