The Lazy Travelers are two transatlantic best friends who have mastered the art of exploring a new city. Though Ashley is based in London and Carolyn is in Philadelphia, we'll use any excuse to reunite around the world. We’re professional bar hoppers, pub crawlers, and food testers, and you’ll never see us zipping around, checking things off a list of “must-sees.”

when travel plans change (and not because we’re drunk)
Want to know a secret? The hubs and I already have our travel plans planned out for almost every weekend of our summer. We’re those people. The biggest plan of all? Moving our annual 10-day trip from October up to July/August. Everyone agrees that traveling in the off-season will save you money and you’ll hit less crowds. Unfortunately–and maybe this is a sign of growing up?–a summer trip made more sense for our work schedules. Waking up on a Sunday sans hangover is rare in the lazy travelers universe. And so when Sunday morning came around and my head was free and clear of that familiar post-wine misery, I decided to take life by horns…or the bootstraps?…whatever it is you say when you seize the day. While in Paris, the hubs and I made a necessary stop at Shakespeare & Co. Having skipped it the first time (I know), there was no way we were making the same mistake again. Between my new found love for Midnight In Paris and summer obsessions with The Paris Wife (seriously, READ IT) and A Moveable Feast, this was a must-see.
