jetsetters: @MelanieHillier
Today’s jetsetter is Melanie Hillier, and not only does she have a travel blog dedicated to her love for her hometown of Toronto, but she also has a food blog, complete with recipes AND drool-worthy photos. Sooo… food + travel + photography? Count us in. Enjoy! Favorite Place: Australia, with a very close second going to Paris (how predictable am I?) More importantly, favorite meal: Fresh seafood at Salsa Restaurant in Port Douglas, and coffee ANYWHERE in Italy. I could go on all day about food, but I’ll stop there. The moment you caught the travel bug: My first real trip without the…

mon coeur est à paris
How on EARTH is it already Tuesday and I’m already back in New York? As expected, this weekend was absolute perfection, complete with amazing food, even better wine, and a snow covered Paris. More details to come, but for now, here’s what I was able to check off my own little Parisian Bucket List: Baguette + Camembert Checked off my list three times over. Thank you to a boulangerie in our neighborhood, our wine & cheese tasting class at Ô Chateau (more details to come on that), and another boulangerie in Montmartre. Nutella crepes! Friday night drunk food courtesy of…

The Best Place in Dublin With Valentine’s day creeping up, we’ve been craving wine and chocolate. Since we regularly share content devoted to wine (ahem wino ahem), we’d thought we’d give you this instead: Top 10 Places for Chocolate You’ve…

a few things i miss about living in new york city
I’m currently suffering from a serious case of “grass-is-always-greener” syndrome. When I packed my bags to leave New York, I couldn’t wait to get away from the smells and the crowded sidewalks and the self-important (see: rude) New Yorkers. Maryland was like a shiny beacon of semi-Southern hope, where people smiled and groceries didn’t clean out your savings account. However, after a night out on Saturday, I’m pining for the conveniences I took for granted while living in New York: Late-night eats After a long night out, one of my favorite things to do is eat pizza. Or fries. Or…

friday morning ramblings from the wino
Welp, the romantic and hubs are en route to Par-ee, which means its just you and me for the next few days, travelers. What better time than now to put down the glass and indulge in a little tête-à-tête with my devoted readers! Lately, my posts have been lacking inspiration, which is probably due to the fact that this lazy traveler hasn’t been traveling. Instead, I’ve been babysitting. In the suburbs. Neat, I know. If there’s one thing babysitting has given me, its time to really go over and over (and over and over) how I got to this point. If you asked…
