#LTeastcoast // a perfect day in boston
Perhaps the most exciting part of our #LTeastcoast adventure was that we finally made it to a city that’s long been on our list: Beantown. And, spoiler alert? Yes, we did have a perfect day in Boston. Staying true to our itinerary-free way of traveling, we didn’t have anything specific on our agenda. Well, except eating our weight in lobster rolls and clam chowder. Unfortunately, we also didn’t have a ton of time in one of our new favorite cities, so we decided this would be the perfect excuse to re-introduce a feature from many moons ago when weekend escapes were our…

style spotter: a summer day in new england
We must admit: we really weren’t prepared to fall as in love with Boston as we did. Sure, we’re longtime fans of the “I could live here!” litmus test when visiting a new city. But we were both surprised to find that, after a spectacularly summer day in New England, yes! We could live in Boston! We really only had about 72 hours in and around Beantown. But that didn’t limit our imaginations! In our minds, we were running off into a future life of white picket fences flanked by blooming hydrangeas. Here’s what we wish we had packed. THE…

parisian favorites from a year in the île-de-france (part 2)
Much to my surprise, after one year of life in the Île-de-France, I’ve learned that Paris isn’t just all eating and drinking. During past trips, I didn’t care to see much else… aside from, you know, see the Eiffel Tower. Strolling leisurely through the city is still my preferred method of Parisian exploration. Now, with the touristy things out of the way (ahem, Mona Lisa), we had to prioritize. This was only magnified by the fact that return trains stopped running to our village at 11:19 PM. SHA-OOT ME NOW. If you missed part 1 of my Parisian preferences, pop…

Hey, hey, hey it’s jet-setta-DAY. Pour yourselves a glass of Chianti and come say hello to Hannah & Meg of Florence for Free. Basically, if Florence is anywhere on your travel radar, you should probs bookmark these ladies ASAP. They’re all about exploring and enjoying one of the most beautiful cities in Europe for as little money as humanly possible. In their words (and here’s where you’ll understand why we feel a personal connection), Florence is a walking town. It’s perfect for wandering down forgotten alleyways, relaxing at a cafe, and rewarding yourself with a gelato at the end of…

foodie break: boston’s BOND // @BONDBoston1
How can it be that our #LTeastcoast tour was over a month ago? Alals, now all we can do is reminisce about our weeklong summer reunion in the good ole U-S-of-A. Naturally, the one thing we can’t stop thinking about: all of the delicious meals we ate along the way. Among our favorites was a night of wining and dining at Boston’s BOND (NOW CLOSED) on our first night out in Beantown. Located in The Langham hotel, formerly the Federal Reserve Bank, BOND was the perfect introduction to historic Boston. Converted from the bank into a luxury hotel property in…
