rtw rookies: the FAQs
As our plans have slowly leaked out to family, friends, and now, finally, both of our jobs, we’ve been faced with a lot of the same questions… over and over and over again. I loved reading G & Q’s answers to their most commonly asked questions, and even though many of theirs are post-trip, I saw some definite overlap. It’s gotten to the point where I don’t even fully answer now, I just distract people with shiny objects and then disappear into a cloud of smoke. But perhaps now I’ll direct them to this post? Either way, whether you were wondering…

jetsetters: @britseeingstars
We don’t like to play favorites, but today’s jetsetter, Brit @britseeingstars, is just our kind of girl. The romantic first met Brit at TBEX Keystone, and then we all met up again in NYC during TBEX Costa Brava (mainly to laugh at all the losers who went to Spain. OH MAN, what a bunch of nerds… cue quiet sobbing). It’s safe to say that we officially hit it off as we nurtured our TBEX FOMO over beers. Many beers. And I think shots? Annnyway… though our time as New Yorkers only overlapped for a short time, we’re now obsessed with following…

rtw rookie: the reveal
Back in November, we introduced a new feature called RTW Rookie. Over the past few months, our mystery man has detailed his plans of an upcoming five month trip around the world, using this site as his only real outlet until he quit his job. So far, he’s detailed his plans to visit Hawaii, Fiji, and New Zealand, but we’re taking a break from this regularly scheduled programming for an announcement: RTW Rookie officially gave his job notice on Friday, and is now able to reveal himself. Are you ready? Without further ado, RTW Rookie is… THE HUBS! Which, in…

island of vieques, island of love
In honor of St. Valentine, the twitterverse has been abuzz with romantical round-ups. As the resident romantic around these parts, I’ve spent the past week mentally filing away my dream list. My biggest source of wanderlust? HostelBooker’s list of the 100 Most Romantic Places on Earth. I know it’s trustworthy because it includes the island of Vieques. I was pretty excited to scroll through and see which of their chosen destinations I’ve visited. Turns out… not many. Vieques, Puerto Rico, however, noticeably stood out. For Memorial Day in 2011, the hubs and I decided to jet off to Puerto Rico…

euro tour summer: let’s do this
In a decidedly un-lazylike fashion, we’ve been busy planning out the details for our grand summer Euro Tour. Because our Seasonal Affective Disorders all sorts of flared up, we need a serious distraction! What better way than to focus all of our time on four months from now when we’ll be holding hands and skipping through Europe?! After much deliberation, we’ve hammered down our basic itinerary: five countries in fourteen days. So many questions are running through our heads. Can we do it? Will one of us get left behind? And just how much wine shall we consume? But we’re…
