the wino’s switzerland packing essentials
HEAR, HEAR: we’re officially ONE WEEK AWAY from our 2012 Lazy Travelers European Shenanigans Tour. I think we’ll call it that from now on. Normally, I’m a throw-a-few-too-many-outfits-in-a-bag-and-go kind of traveler. But, as I’ve been watching the temperatures drop dramatically in Switzerland over the last week, I’m getting a little concerned that my normal packing routine will leave me unprepared, and no one likes a cranky wino. Instead, I’ve been spending every spare moment considering what I’ll need for the trip, and more importantly, what will fit in my backpack. So far, I’ve narrowed it down to nine things I…

#LTSwissTips: take two // dares for our grand tour of switzerland
In case you missed it, we are officially one week away from our grand tour of Switzerland and Ireland! If you did miss this, welcome! rtw rookie: an introduction
When we first started blogging, we were severely underexposed to a huge sub-culture of travelers: people who take career breaks. We had never considered taking time off from our jobs–or giving them up all together–to travel the world. We had no idea that Meet, Plan, Go was a thing, or that RTW meant “round the world”… or really, that it was an acronym at all. This has clearly changed dramatically over the past year+, and recently, we were talking with someone who is in the midst of planning his very first RTW. Like many trip planners, he’s forced to keep…

an ode to thanksgiving in bucks county
Ahhh, hello again, travelers! The annual turkey binge has come and gone once more. After a glorious time celebrating Thanksgiving in Bucks County, we’re already back in Manhattan. We wined and dined with the best of ’em, and we are now feeling about 30 lbs. heavier, naturally. But 30 lbs of warmth and happiness! Alas, our brains are working about as well as our metabolism, so we bring you: Thanksgiving in Bucks County: A Photo Essay As all good weekend roadtrips do, ours kicked off with a ton of traffic in the Lincoln Tunnel… But all was right once we…
