a perfect day in sonoma, california
As you may recall, we recently had a little reunion in the Golden State, complete with one night in San Francisco, and one night in Napa. From there, the hubs and I made our way to finally visit a place that’s long been on our list. Enter: Sonoma, California. Fun fact! The whole reason LTsf came together in the first place is because Jeff had a work trip to San Francisco. He’s had enough professional escapades around Europe sans moi. As soon as he mentioned an upcoming 12-hour flight across the pond, I sweetly offered to accompany him. “Whaaaatt!!! I’ve…

a perfect day in northern ireland with hastings hotels
– this post, “a perfect day in northern ireland with hastings hotels” is in partnership with hastings hotels – Many moons ago (like… six weeks?), January was off to a quiet start. The hubs and I jetted off to Northern Ireland with Hastings Hotels for a 3-day weekend. It was our first time in NI, but after our brief introduction, I can tell you it won’t be our last. We fell in love with the scenery, the people, and our amazing hotel — the Slieve Donard Resort & Spa. But, more on all of that later. Today, I’m sharing a…

#LTeastcoast // a perfect day in boston
Perhaps the most exciting part of our #LTeastcoast adventure was that we finally made it to a city that’s long been on our list: Beantown. And, spoiler alert? Yes, we did have a perfect day in Boston. Staying true to our itinerary-free way of traveling, we didn’t have anything specific on our agenda. Well, except eating our weight in lobster rolls and clam chowder. Unfortunately, we also didn’t have a ton of time in one of our new favorite cities, so we decided this would be the perfect excuse to re-introduce a feature from many moons ago when weekend escapes were our…

a perfect day in viking village
One of the best things about returning to the Jersey Shore summer after summer is the chance of stumbling across a place I’ve never noticed before. In my sixth summer visiting my boyfriend’s family in Barnegat Light on Long Beach Island, I discovered Viking Village, a bayside fishing village and collection of shops. For the sake of full disclosure, I am a little ashamed to admit that Viking Village is like, two blocks away from my boyfriend’s family house. However, my time down the shore is normally confined to the beach, cocktails on the deck, and bike rides to Poppy’s…

a perfect day at the jersey shore
A few weeks ago, I read an article about choosing the perfect vacation for your zodiac sign, and I was shocked to see Scorpios, such as myself, feel the most at home near the water. This seriously, seriously blew my mind. As we like to say around here, we’re pretty happily self-proclaimed city girls, so most of our dream vacations (and real vacations) include flitting around some metropolitan area or another. I’ve never really factored water into the equation. To be honest, swimming in any natural body of water gives me a serious case of the willies. I don’t think I’ve gone…
