#LTportugal // the wines of northern portugal
When it comes to wine — and wine tourism — we’re not going to pretend we’re sommeliers-in-training. We don’t care about your tannins or your vintage. #LTportugal // four days in the douro
If you may recall, last year in Spain, we promised ourselves that no matter what, we would make a proper summer holiday happen again this August. Just recently, we made good on our promise. Now we’re here to tell you about our two days in Porto and four days in the Douro. True to our word, we picked a week, marked our calendars, and then promptly let life take over. Better yet, we conquered our recent destination from the country to the city, and back again. All while accessorizing accordingly, mais oui. In case you missed the memo, we spent one week in Northern Portugal, splitting our time between Porto and the Douro Valley, which…

travel announcement! one week in northern portugal
Last August, as we floated around the pool at our villa in Spain, cocktails and mocktails in hand and bellies full of manchego, we vowed that a week-long Lazy Travelers’ summer vacation most definitely had to become an annual tradition. Fast forward ten months, and we decided: a do-over was necessary, and this time with one week in Northern Portugal. So many of our travels are hectically scheduled between other commitments or jammed into weekends. It felt absolutely luxurious to vacation in one place for an entire week. Now, a year later, it’s time to make good on our promise…
