travel announcement! // back to london for #LTlondontown take 2

    October 1, 2015 /

We’ve been hinting at it for weeks — mainly on Instagram — but in case you’ve been totally ignoring us (SHAME), we want to make it blog official. In exactly one week, the wino and her husband, Sean, will be wheels up. They’re flying back to London, for a group reunion that is LONG overdue! Why yes, it’s true, we’ve done London together not once, but TWICE before. It’s #LTlondontown time! AGAIN! With Ashley and Jeff now firmly planted in grand ole’ England (with lazy baby on the way!), it’s likely that we’ll be doing a lot of LT get-togethers…

    a little announcement…

    August 17, 2015 /

Hey, hi, hello! SO… we’ve been keeping a secret around LT HQ, and now I have a little announcement to make. And I mean little in the most literal sense of the word. Like, this secret started as a speck! A tiny poppy seed! But, now that we’re just under 6 months away from the expected beginning of our next adventure, I thought it was about time to loop you in. Any guesses? OUI! As of today, I am officially 17 weeks (+/- a few days) pregnant! Lazy baby is on board! We’ve been slowly sharing the news with our…

    sunday at the polo

    August 6, 2015 /

Naturally, as Americans living in the UK, we’re doing our best to adapt to the little Britishisms that we find so silly. One of my personal favorites? The way Brits talk about sports. Er, sorry, sport. There’s no “sports” section in the London Evening Standard. It is strictly “sport” here. Weird, right? Not as weird as their inexplicable use of the word “the.” Enter: our recent Sunday at the Polo. (It just sounds f-ing weird.) But no matter, because we are here to blend in, and so blend in we shall! Sunday at the polo! We were invited by the…

a weekend in paris & a sunday at les puces

    May 13, 2015 /

Recently, much to our surprise, we found ourselves very happily headed ack to Paris. With a long list of things to do and places to go, we wanted to revisit our old haunts, and explore some new ones. Friday in a tiny wine bar, Saturday in Tuileries, Sunday at Les Puces. You might be wondering why a craving for such a perfect-sounding weekend would be a surprise. When we left the Île-de-France in July, London-bound with two giant suitcases and one little pug, I wasn’t exactly sad. It’s no secret that I had maxed out on quaint country life, and…

wight twixtmas: winter on the isle of wight, part 2

    February 17, 2015 /

On day 2 of our quick hop to experience winter on the Isle of Wight, we woke up bright and early(ish) for breakfast at The Seaview Hotel before squeezing back in the car to explore a bit more. We spent the next few hours driving from little town to little town. We stopped only for snacks and photo opps as we saw fit. Basically, it was the ideal vacation. But you’ve been warned: this is a pretty photo heavy post. The weather was insanely gorgeous — crisp, cold, and with barely a cloud in the sky. Happy to be near…
