travel announcement! lazy baby’s first adventure…
I realized yesterday that I haven’t been on a plane since the end of November, and I haven’t left London since the first week of December. Parenting DOES change you, it turns out. This is the longest stretch of time I haven’t traveled since… I don’t even know! Luckily, as of Saturday, that is all about to change. That’s right! We’re about to embark on lazy baby’s first adventure. We’re getting out of our little London bubble, and heading off to celebrate two big birthdays next week: Margot’s 2nd month, and my 360th. In case your mom-math isn’t so great……

lakeside luxury // one night in lausanne, switzerland
It’s hard to believe that it’s been more than two months since my Mom, Mari and I were hopping from Christmas market to Christmas market across Switzerland. The time may have flown by, but fret not, my fellow Swiss lovers, I haven’t forgotten one bit about our epic adventure. I still have so much to share! Over the course of a week, we traveled by train to Geneva, Verbier, Bern, and Lucerne. Finally, we ended our time with one night in Lausanne. You may remember that the romantic and I visited Lausanne a few years back. We spent two snowy…

foodie break // the lazy girl’s guide to london eats
SO, now that I’ve told you all my fave London eats around Notting Hill (so far), I figure it’s only fair that I widen the search a little bit. As expected, we’ve stayed in our little neighborhood bubble quite a bit over the past year and a half. But there’s obviously tons more to see — and eat! — around this fine city. Clearly, this is by no means a comprehensive list. This is basically just a random assortment of London eats and places we’ve liked. These are also places that, if you’re exploring central London, are never too far…

travel announcement: going back back to cali cali
If you haven’t heard, we’ve been experiencing arctic temps in Philly this past weekend. With snow falling outside my window as I type, I can’t think of a better time for this travel announcement. That’s right, I’m making a return trip to a place I’ve recently fallen in love with. Yes, correct, I’m going back back to Cali Cali… Los Angeles and Orange County, CA, here I come! Here’s the catch: it’s a work trip. This means the majority (read: almost all) will be scheduled with work events. However, that doesn’t mean I won’t enjoy the sunny, warm weather and…

expat life // an american pregnancy in london
While I’ve shared plenty about my travel experiences while pregnant, I haven’t written too much about my actual pregnancy. Mainly because, well, this is a travel blog, and pregnancy isn’t particularly travel-related. My experiences with pregnancy in London, however, has been greatly influenced by my life as an American expat. Pregnancy, especially for first-timers, is already a learning experience. Doing it in a new country — with different resources and without the same support network you’d have at home — adds a whole new layer of “WTF am I DOING?” SO, with fellow Americans in mind, I thought maybe a…
