36 hours in stockholm (and then some more)

    June 27, 2017 /

A few weeks ago, Margot and I jetted off for what was meant to be a quick, 36 hours in Stockholm. We were traveling with our Geneva-based friend & auntie, Amy — of Friendsgiving fame — who was there on a business trip. Margot LOVES crashing business trips so, naturally, a mid-week girls’ trip was born. If you follow us on Instagram or Twitter then you already know that we hit some bumps getting home from this intended quick trip. I promise to get to that later, but first, the good news: I love Stockholm. We had the perfect combo…

weekend warriors // an introduction to berlin

    May 23, 2017 /

In March, 44 days after Trump was sworn-in as president, we had a mini weekend introduction to Berlin. These might seem unrelated, but, I assure you, they’re not. On this particular weekend, visiting the former seat of the Third Reich and home to another paranoid fascist felt fitting. We arrived on the same day he accused Obama (over Twitter, of course) of wiretapping his phones. Two days later, he signed a new executive order. This time, he was reinstating the travel ban and suspending the refugee program in the US. Despite the fact that this was my first visit, and…

weekend warriors // a weekend in milano

    April 17, 2017 /

If you caught our recent post about exploring a city on a time crunch, or have been following @lazytravelers on Instagram since at least November, then you saw that I (fairly) recently visited Milan, er, Milano,  for the first time. To be totally honest, I had minimal expectations. Milan seems like a city that most people either love or hate. The ones who love it, love the nightlife, restaurant scene, and shopping. While this sounds fab, they’re not inherently baby-friendly activities, so Milano was temporarily on the backburner. But when an opportunity presents itself to visit a new city, who…

#LTcolorado // the lazy girls’ guide to skiing & snowshoeing

    April 13, 2017 /

It is incredibly rare that we travel somewhere and voluntarily do something that requires physical exertion. Surprising, we know. However, there are exceptions to every rule, and as such, we’d like to make a case for winter sports: most specifically, skiing & snowshoeing. They are, arguably, the perfect lazy girls’ athletic activity of choice. Think about it! First of all, the cold temps demand pure coziness before and after. Second of all, no other sport has an attached cool-down activity that actively encourages you to booze it up. Have you ever heard of après-jog or après-spin??? We didn’t think so, SoulCycle.…

the lazy girls’ guide to navigating a new city in a time crunch

    March 23, 2017 /

When it comes to travel, we have many varied areas of expertise. What cultural stuff can you skip in favor of eating your way through any given European capital city? We’re your girls. What IS the right amount of red wine to drink on an overnight flight so you don’t arrive looking like a zombie from the depths of hell? You call us. How do you maximize your time when navigating a new city, cramming in as much wonder as you possibly can in 18 hours or less? Ehhhh…. that is just not our style. In news that will shock no…
