24 hours in corning, new york
Recently, I was trying to figure out a weekend escape for myself and Sean. After lots of brainstorming, it came to me. I remembered a place we had talked about ages ago, but had never found the time to visit. The Finger Lakes! Smack dab in the middle of New York State, the Finger Lakes are a short drive from Philly. And this, my friends, is how a little trip to Corning, New York was born. With the Lazy Travelers split between continents, Sean and I often find ourselves planning our travel around major international cities. Admittedly, I sometimes forget how…

a return to españa // in it for the tapas
When it comes to picking our next travel destination, we usually have very limited criteria. Sometimes it’s seasonal, sometimes it’s for a specific event… but usually, we’re just in it for the food. More often than not, if I’m passionate about a specific country or destination, you can guess the food scene has something to do with it. This time: I was in it for the tapas. Sometimes, if we’re really lucky, we end up planning a trip somewhere because the stars align. This was def the case for our next little getaway, and you can probably guess where. Jeff…

an afternoon at the museum // touring musée d’orsay with @parismusetours
Recently, we took a little trip to Paris, and introduced lazy baby to some of our favorite sights. There were picnics on the Champs de Mars, and late night dinners at perfectly perfect bistros. There was even a guided tour of Musée d’Orsay! But before I get to all that, I have to say: I overcame some major traveling mom hurdles. While lazy baby seemingly hits a new milestone every day, on this trip, I hit a few of my own. And really, it’s only fitting that they happened in Paris! Margot and I survived our first solo travel day…

travel announcement // grecian girls’ getaway with @MyGreekVilla
We’ve said it once and we’ll say it again: 2015 was big, big year. We didn’t think it could ever be topped, and that’s still to be seen. Now, with an upcoming Grecian girls’ getaway, we’re trying to get close. But back to 2015 for just a moment. From Napa to Cape Town to the French Alps, we had more Lazy Travelers’ getaways than we’ve ever had before. As two best friends who live an ocean apart, it’s important to us to plan as much time together as we can. And letsbehonest… it never hurts if it’s somewhere new and…

the lazy girls’ guide to @RueBaRue
As we get older — and, we’d like to think, wiser — we’ve learned to prioritize when it comes to travel-planning. Then, an app like @RueBaRue comes along and changes our minds. Previously, our planning went a bit like this. Once we settle on a destination, we spend our pre-trip time wisely. We find the perfect hotel (or villa or chalet or château, we’re not picky). We pick out a dream destination-specific wardrobe that we probably can’t afford. And then, we figure out what and where to eat and drink our days away. Us in Paris, not climbing the steps…
