the lazy travelers take europe: the wino’s irish & swiss highlights
I’ve been looking forward to writing this post for a while. but now that I sit down to do it, I’m getting majorly overwhelmed by all of the wonderful things we got to see and do (and eat and drink) on our European adventure. Short of posting my journal verbatim, it’s hard to capture everything I loved about our time in Switzerland and Ireland. And no offense guys, but I don’t really want you reading my journal. the lazy travelers take europe: the romantic’s highlights
It’s still hard to believe that less than one month ago, the wino and I were frolicking through the snowy streets of Switzerland, trying to pinpoint our next meal drink. Unsurprisingly, we’ve spent the better part of the past month regaling our friends with stories from the good ol’ days. Not because the airport isn’t easily accessible to the city center–the complete opposite, actually–but because we knew we couldn’t part with one of our favorite cities after such a short reunion. Luckily, our friends at Aer Lingus stepped in and offered…

hostels & hotels & chalets, oh MY!
When we started planning our Swiss adventure, we had big dreams of snow-covered chalets and opulent apartments overlooking Lake Geneva. Because our itinerary had us going to a different city almost daily, we knew we would wind up covering all the accommodation bases. It wasn’t until we looked at our lodging options on paper that we realized: over the course of seven days, we stayed in four very different types of accommodations in each hub of our trip. Boutique Hotel: Hotel Ermitage Verbier Tourism graciously arranged for our first night’s stay, and this couldn’t have been a more perfect way to…
