the lazy girl’s guide to traveling with a baby // 0-12 months
I promise not to bore you with all the mom cliches, but earlier this year, my little lazy baby turned one. I can’t believe how quickly a year went, so much has happened, etc., etc. Instead, I’ll bore you with something else! Unsolicited advice about something I’m now mildly familiar with, and as such, am an expert. There’s a whole chapter about it in the manual they give you at new parent orientation. Today’s topic? Margot’s first flight was when she was just over seven weeks old. Since then, she’s been across the Atlantic on four roundtrip flights, visited nine countries, and traversed over a dozen cities.…

a perfect day in firenze
If you follow us on Instagram and/or Snapchat, then you know one thing to be true: lazy baby‘s entry into the world may have put our travel days on pause this winter, but we’ve certainly been making up for lost time. Most recently, we took her on a mini tour of Italia, which included one perfect day in Firenze. First, of course, was her trip to Cannes in March. After, we reset the clock and started counting down to our next adventure. We planned a week-long visit with my parents, featuring a mini hop to Italy for three beautiful days…

baby travel packing // #lazybaby on the go with little peanut on the go
Like all first-time parents, I spent the week before our first trip with Margot asking a lot of questions. How the hell would we even conquer baby travel packing? We’re not even good at ADULT packing. And how were we going to function in France without everything we’re used to having on hand?! I’d wake in the middle of the night in a cold sweat, shaking over what we would do without our changing table and nappy bin and bassinet and boppy and THIS SERENITY STAR?! I kid. Mostly. That Serenity Star is awesome. Luckily, Le Majestic made our lives…

because we cannes // lazy baby at le majestic
We made it! We took our 8 week old on a plane, flew to another country, spent a week on the French Riviera, and here we are: back on the other side. Older, wiser, and a little more confident as parents. I obviously have plenty to share about the logistics of our first trip as a family of three. But first! I must sing the praises of the Hôtel Barrière Le Majestic. No, seriously. This place might just be our most favorite hotel… ever. [ photo via barrière hotels ] Her parents may not have been on their game. We…

travel announcement! lazy baby’s first adventure…
I realized yesterday that I haven’t been on a plane since the end of November, and I haven’t left London since the first week of December. Parenting DOES change you, it turns out. This is the longest stretch of time I haven’t traveled since… I don’t even know! Luckily, as of Saturday, that is all about to change. That’s right! We’re about to embark on lazy baby’s first adventure. We’re getting out of our little London bubble, and heading off to celebrate two big birthdays next week: Margot’s 2nd month, and my 360th. In case your mom-math isn’t so great……
