    foodie break: cioppino’s, san francisco

    April 30, 2015 /

Since most of our first day in San Francisco centered around the SoMa and Union Square neighborhoods, we knew we wanted to spend our second and final day exploring. And by exploring, we mean eating and drinking and eating and then drinking more. It’s a TOTALLY NORMAL and perfectly acceptable way to acclimate to a new city, ok? And when in San Francisco, there was no way we were missing a meal at Cioppino’s. Many of our meals up until this point had featured local northern California ingredients and freshly caught seafood. We have to say, we were hooked (see…

weekend warriors: the lazy girls’ guide to the napa valley

    April 28, 2015 /

After an entirely unintentional hiatus, we’re back! Back in action! Well, you know, we hope. We fully intend to be back. Sometimes life gets in the way, but what can you do? Instead of dwelling on the fact that we haven’t properly blogged in what feels like forevs, let us instead focus on everything we loved about the Napa Valley. Spoiler alert: we loved everything.  But before we get to Napa, let’s backtrack for just a sec. The plan: awake, bright eyed & bushy tailed, in our beautiful suites overlooking San Francisco, and let our eyes adjust to the soft…

video sneak peek: 24 hours in napa valley

    April 16, 2015 /

Hey, we warned you. Back in January, we said! We’re going to do more videos! 2015 is the year we pretend to understand iMovie! So why not start with a lil peek at our 24 hours in Napa Valley? Naturally, on our first joint trip of 2015, we forced our husbands to keep their iPhones at the ready. They were on strict orders to capture any video-worthy moments. Not wanting to be caught unprepared, they videoed about 10-20 seconds of every single thing we did. This meant that we had about an hour’s worth of clips to work with. Luckily,…

weekend warriors: 36 hours in san francisco

    April 2, 2015 /

We’ve had an amazing month of travel for many reasons. But one thing worth noting? We’ve officially added a new favorite city to our repertoire. That’s right, after 36 hours in San Francisco, we can say it. You passed the “would I live here?” test with flying colors. And, dear travelers, we are clearly not experts on this new-to-us city.  But here’s what we can strongly suggest for your own weekend escape to the City by the Bay. Based on our experiences, of course. See how happy it made us? [photo via Flytographer // sweaters, bags and boots c/o Boden]…

    #LTselects: the andaz napa

    March 17, 2015 /

With only two other entries since its inception in September, we’ve kept our #LTselects club highly exclusive. First, there was the charming boutique inn in Lexington, Massachusetts, which was a no-brainer for our very first inductee. Then, we extended the offer to the oldest wine bar in London, because… do we need another reason? The Oldest Wine Bar in London. And now, our newest selection combines both! Our latest #LTselects fave is a charming, boutique hotel in the heart of America’s most famous wine region. Enter: The Andaz Napa. Why did we love The Andaz Napa? The location // Since…
