bottoms up: can’t-miss bars in paris
True fact: you can wander into almost any of cafes, restaurants, or bars in Paris and spend the night drinking perfectly delicious and relatively cheap French wine. Obviously, you could spend your entire time in Paris without stopping in any of the bars we’ve outlined below. You’d still be completely satisfied with your drinking experience. But like, we recommend trying at least one. The French do a lot of things right, and serving up some of the best wine in the world is certainly one of them. Oh, but you’re not a wine drinker? paris for a day: the first-timer’s guide
When it comes to Paris, the romantic and I are no rookies. As our favorite city, we’ve both been there more times than we can count– and with good reason. Who can resist Paris? My fiance (!!!), on the other hand, had never stepped foot in the City of Lights. A true, blue Parisian first-timer! Naturally, this meant there was a A LOT I wanted him to see during #LTfrancais. It wasn’t our shortest international reunion (that prize goes to our twenty-four-hour rendezvous in London back in 2008), but the three days we spent together in France certainly wasn’t long enough. In 72 hours, we bounced around Paris, visited FOUR chateaux, drank approximately 15 bottles of wine, AND the wino even got engaged! BEST. TRIP. EVER. And now… now we’re back to our normal everyday routines, and truth be told, it’s making us just plain miserable. Ohhh the rollercoaster of emotions felt in only a few days time. How’s a…

travel announcement: la france!
Paris is always a good idea. At least that’s what I believe. And apparentlyyy, so does my boyfriend. After telling me for months that our schedules — and more importantly, our wallets — wouldn’t allow for a trip to visit the romantic and the hubs until at least 2014, my boyfriend finally convinced me that Paris just wasn’t in the cards. Cue my twenty-eighth birthday, which apparently is the best and most important of all the birthdays, because I received the best surprise I’ve ever received in my entire life. Exactly one month from today, we’ll be wheels up to my…
