foodie break // california love at salt’s cure
One of the best perks of my “real life” job is that I occasionally get to travel. Back in February, when the east coast cold had me feeling blue, I was happy to escape to Los Angeles for a long weekend. With work events on both Friday and Saturday, I didn’t have too much down-time to enjoy LA. But when traveling for work, I always try to squeeze in at least one or two moments of “me” time. I try to explore my surrounding area, or if I’m lucky, enjoy a nice meal. This time, I had the honor of…

travel announcement: going back back to cali cali
If you haven’t heard, we’ve been experiencing arctic temps in Philly this past weekend. With snow falling outside my window as I type, I can’t think of a better time for this travel announcement. That’s right, I’m making a return trip to a place I’ve recently fallen in love with. Yes, correct, I’m going back back to Cali Cali… Los Angeles and Orange County, CA, here I come! Here’s the catch: it’s a work trip. This means the majority (read: almost all) will be scheduled with work events. However, that doesn’t mean I won’t enjoy the sunny, warm weather and…

foodie break: cioppino’s, san francisco
Since most of our first day in San Francisco centered around the SoMa and Union Square neighborhoods, we knew we wanted to spend our second and final day exploring. And by exploring, we mean eating and drinking and eating and then drinking more. It’s a TOTALLY NORMAL and perfectly acceptable way to acclimate to a new city, ok? And when in San Francisco, there was no way we were missing a meal at Cioppino’s. Many of our meals up until this point had featured local northern California ingredients and freshly caught seafood. We have to say, we were hooked (see…

a perfect day in sonoma, california
As you may recall, we recently had a little reunion in the Golden State, complete with one night in San Francisco, and one night in Napa. From there, the hubs and I made our way to finally visit a place that’s long been on our list. Enter: Sonoma, California. Fun fact! The whole reason LTsf came together in the first place is because Jeff had a work trip to San Francisco. He’s had enough professional escapades around Europe sans moi. As soon as he mentioned an upcoming 12-hour flight across the pond, I sweetly offered to accompany him. “Whaaaatt!!! I’ve…

weekend warriors: the lazy girls’ guide to the napa valley
After an entirely unintentional hiatus, we’re back! Back in action! Well, you know, we hope. We fully intend to be back. Sometimes life gets in the way, but what can you do? Instead of dwelling on the fact that we haven’t properly blogged in what feels like forevs, let us instead focus on everything we loved about the Napa Valley. Spoiler alert: we loved everything. But before we get to Napa, let’s backtrack for just a sec. The plan: awake, bright eyed & bushy tailed, in our beautiful suites overlooking San Francisco, and let our eyes adjust to the soft…
