#LTcolorado // the lazy girls’ guide to skiing & snowshoeing
It is incredibly rare that we travel somewhere and voluntarily do something that requires physical exertion. Surprising, we know. However, there are exceptions to every rule, and as such, we’d like to make a case for winter sports: most specifically, skiing & snowshoeing. They are, arguably, the perfect lazy girls’ athletic activity of choice. Think about it! First of all, the cold temps demand pure coziness before and after. Second of all, no other sport has an attached cool-down activity that actively encourages you to booze it up. Have you ever heard of après-jog or après-spin??? We didn’t think so, SoulCycle.…

#LTcolorado // a weekend in breckenridge with @InvitedHome
As you may have guessed over the years, there’s little we love more than bundling up and going on a snowy adventure somewhere mountainous. And our recent weekend in Breckenridge was no exception! Don’t get us wrong! We very happily grew up with four true seasons. We will ALWAYS welcome summer with open arms. And when it comes to claiming our homebase, we are city girls, through and through. But there’s just something about wide open spaces, and we will always have a soft spot for cozy alpine escapes, ideally full of red wine. This is why, when InvitedHome reached…

#LTcolorado // eating & drinking our way through breckenridge, colorado
When we realized that, thanks to InvitedHome, a snowy ski escapade to the Rockies was going to kick off our 2017 travels, we were more than a little excited. As soon as we picked a spot in Breckenridge, Colorado, we started scheming. Immediately, our 2015 alpine adventure in Val d’Isere came to mind. Visions of a weekend full of pjs and red wine danced in our heads. As you may recall from that trip, we didn’t really do too much. For one, Ashley was one million weeks pregnant. Skiing and bar-hopping were obv out for her. Plus, our chalet came…

weekend warriors // rocky mountain highs & lows
When the hubs and I booked our Rocky Mountain weekend getaway in Keystone for TBEX, we decided that there were some must-sees outside of the conference. Ok, fine, there were also maybe a possible safety net if the conference ended up being très awkward. Neither of us have spent much time in Colorado, so we had a few things on our weekend checklist: Red Rocks Park // I don’t remember much from my first family visit to Colorado, but I remember the Red Rocks Amphitheater very clearly. Unfortunately, we didn’t check the website to see what the day’s schedule was like (typical).…

tales from a tbex first timer
Since we landed on Sunday night, I’ve been contemplating how best to recap this past weekend at TBEX and for the past day or so, I was coming up blank. If you attended in person or followed the hashtag on twitter, I think you probably got a pretty good sense of how happy everyone was, and if you didn’t… then you’re probably not into a full second by second recap of what went down, right? What I can say is this: it was so, so, SO much different than I expected, and in all the best ways. First thing’s first–Colorado, you’re…
