divot stomping & more champagne, please!
Oh good! It’s Monday! And a cold and rainy Monday, no less. MY FAVORITE. I mean, I can’t really complain–my weekend was pretty amazing/hysterical. Scratch that… Saturday was amazing/hysterical, Sunday was a big ball of hangover sweatpants and TV marathons and binge eating in bed. Early last week, the hubs & I were offered tickets to the Veuve Clicquot Polo Classic and were lucky enough to end up in the VIP section. Things I learned? Downtown Manhattan needs more attention from this girl. I spent a lot of time there in college, and between the waterfront views and Battery Park, I…

i got the blues!
Help me, travelers! I had a three day taste of summer and now I’m having a majorly difficult time getting back to my old routine in Rockville. In three short days in Barnegut Light, I managed to completely remove myself from real life and reach the ultimate stage of relaxation. I imagine this had a lot to do with the amount of beer and ice cream I may have consumed. Besides the embarrassing amount of calories I absorbed, my weekend looked a lot like this: After looking at these photos, can anyone blame me for my post-vacation blues? Any advice…

a very rockville weekend, the redux
Happy Monday, travelers! We need to apologize. We were HORRIBLE bloggers over our little Rockville weekend. Remember when we brainstormed all the amazing things we were going to do? Yeah, we did ABOUT zero of them. Except for the beer one, of course. Here’s the thing: this was everything we needed out of our little weekend reunion, so we can’t be that sorry. Yes, it would have been great to head into DC and have adventures and try a fancy new restaurant. But sometimes, you wake up and it’s a little cold and drizzly, and you just need to give…

beer and hotdogs
Things I’m loving right now: I get to see the romantic in five days. Things I’m hating right now: It’s Monday. It’s raining. Because I like to give myself an excuse to be lazy on rainy Mondays (and maaaybe because I’m still suffering from a colossal two-day hangover), I thought I’d just throw up a few photos of my day at the ballpark. To be honest, I don’t really like baseball, but I do like cute boys (here’s looking at you, Jayson Werth) and I certainly like hotdogs, so when I unexpectedly got the day off from babysitting on Saturday,…

the importance of park-hopping
Is anyone else cursing Mother Nature for giving us what is hands down the most gorgeous day of the year on a MONDAY? Ok, good, me too. This weekend, the hubs and I took Parker McPugface to the dog parks in Carl Shurz Park, which is basically my most favorite park in all of Manhattan. Forget that Parker doesn’t really DO dog parks–we tried both the large and small dog runs and he sat off to the side and stared at us. Carl Shurz is on the East River and the running/walking/strolling-pushing (duh, it IS the Upper East Side) path…
