countdown to the reunion!
I’ve been trying to brainstorm ideas for a post for the last two hours but my mind is all clouded with excitement for my weekend! In approximately 36 hours the romantic and the wino will be reunited for the first time in THREE MONTHS! This may be our longest tenure apart since we lived across the Atlantic from each other. And booooy do we have plans! By plans, I mean the romantic may have sent me a text with her weekend requirements: wine and cheese. Done and done. Look, we don’t ever set out to be completely irresponsible, but more…

tips for a successful (perfectly lazy) weekend getaway
It feels like its been forever since I went on a proper weekend getaway. Though sitting on the train on my way to Philadelphia this past weekend, I felt like an old pro. visitors = vacation
One thing I’ve learned in the years of living away from my hometown is that I LOVE entertaining out-of-town visitors. It seems like I am always counting down the days until the next weekend when one of my friends or family members comes to visit. Tomorrow, Mom and Gram are making the trek from Bucks County, PA for my first official visitors weekend in Rockville! Though I’m not the one traveling, I almost feel these weekends are mini vacations. After all, they have all the same components of traveling: Site-seeing Having visitors gives me the motivation I need to see…

traveling again (and it feels so good)
Good news, fellow travelers–the wino is back! I spent a very long December settling into my new abode, perfecting the domestic goddess within, and let’s be honest, neglecting the Lazy Travelers a bit. But who can blame me! Those cookies weren’t gonna bake themselves, am-I-right? Yesterday, as the dust settled after a very whirlwind Christmas, it struck me–after what seemed like the hiatus of a lifetime, I was going to travel again! And where better to express my excitement than right here. And so I write to you from the road to say that I am on my way to…
