the wino’s year full of thanks
The romantic’s post got me thinking. I don’t say thank you nearly enough. As New Yorkers, we’re guilty of letting a lot of things fly by without really savoring them. I have many things to be thankful for, but let me highlight a few that have stuck out in 2012: New York City This time last year, I was preparing to move south to the suburbs. Aaaand after a brief stint in the DC area, followed by an even briefer stint in Bucks County, I’m back in the New York groove. We have our ups and downs, but I’m not…

the romantic’s year full of thanks
This weekend brought the first of many Thanksgiving dinners, and it was the perfect way to give thanks and kick off the holiday season. There was wine and food and shots that you had to take without using your hands and a passed out hostess on the couch (yes, yours truly). As it’s the reason for the season, I’ve been looking back on 2012 and feeling pretty grateful–and very, very lucky. SO, what better way to give my thanks than via blog post? happy first birthday to us!
Our little baby is ONE YEAR OLD! As of yesterday, we’ve been blogging, tweeting, instagraming, and most importantly, traveling, our little hearts out for one full year. Though we do our best to steer clear of corny-ness, we want to take the time to thank everyone who has been so supportive of our blogging efforts. From the initial email to family and friends to check out our site to the friends and fellow bloggers we’ve formed relationships with throughout the past year, we feel so blessed to have so many people encouraging us to follow our dreams- whether thats blogging,…

one year older & infinitely wiser
Exciting news, friends! This Saturday is the Lazy Travelers’ very first birthday! We know what you’re thinking: how did you ever get by without our witty tweets and profound instagram feeds? We don’t know how we got by either. A year ago, both of us were living in New York City and working side-by-side in a place that didn’t leave our wanderlust very fulfilled. After a particularly long day at work, followed by an even longer wine-filled night, we (and the hubs) came up with our little brainchild that turned into something way more. In order to properly display how much…

the romantic’s year in travel
I was recently lamenting that I’m excited for this year to be over because for some reason, I had decided it hasn’t been particularly exciting. And I guess, in comparison to 2010, how did 2011 stand a chance? 2010 was 9 months of wedding planning and events, followed by 15 days in Egypt & Italy. Of course 2011 was going to seem boring. But really, I was being completely ridiculous. I have a habit of counting down to the next big thing and skimming over whatever exciting thing in my life just passed by. I could say that my New…
