    to the country!

    June 7, 2012 /

It’s Thursday, the event that has been preventing me from being a good blogger happened last night and is officially in my past, and tomorrow I have a half Friday. Life. is. good. If you follow us on twitter (@lazytravelers, do it!), you may have noticed that I was on a hunt for Boston hotel tips last week. WELP, surprise, surprise, change of plans! For this weekend’s adventures with B & K, we’ll be trekking it to Shohola, PA for a weekend of river walking, beer drinking, fire-building (well, B will handle that part), and barbecuing. Through a friend of…

We’re holding a grudge, travelers. First issue: our lives continue to be overwhelming, and we want to know where the promised summer slow down we always enjoy is hiding? Second issue: we weren’t invited to the Diamond Jubilee, and what even? London, we love you more than most. Maybe next time? Icons: London Photographs | Irene Suchocki xo! the romantic & the wino

GOOD NEWS! First of all, it’s Wine Wednesday, so, you know. Always cause to celebrate. BUT more importantly! We have a jetsetter this week! Are you proud? Don’t be. Embarrassing secret: we had Alison of Global Living Magazine lined up for last week annnd due to the long weekend, the romantic completely forgot that it was Wednesday until her post was up and running and it was well after 4 PM. The upside to that was it wasn’t Tuesday and she got to drink a lot of wine as a surprise. Moving right along? Ok then. Today’s jetsetter is, as mentioned,…

safety tips for the young metro passenger

    June 5, 2012 /

In the last eight years, I’ve lived in five different cities. This means two things: one, I’m a freaking nomad, and two, I’m very well acquainted with public transportation. Because I haven’t been in possession of a car since the gold station wagon I drove in high school, one of the first things I do in any city is study the public transportation systems. Buses, subways, ferries, trolleys, or whatever it may be, I do my due diligence to learn the ins and outs of getting around, and because of this, I consider myself somewhat of a pro. Until I…

divot stomping & more champagne, please!

    June 4, 2012 /

Oh good! It’s Monday! And a cold and rainy Monday, no less. MY FAVORITE. I mean, I can’t really complain–my weekend was pretty amazing/hysterical. Scratch that… Saturday was amazing/hysterical, Sunday was a big ball of hangover sweatpants and TV marathons and binge eating in bed. Early last week, the hubs & I were offered tickets to the Veuve Clicquot Polo Classic and were lucky enough to end up in the VIP section. Things I learned? Downtown Manhattan needs more attention from this girl.  I spent a lot of time there in college, and between the waterfront views and Battery Park, I…
