three days in belgrade: or, how we fell in love with eastern europe

    October 22, 2013 /

Serbia wasn’t on our original RTW itins. Instead, post-Thailand, we were supposed to spend ten days in Turkey, exploring the streets of Istanbul and flying in hot air balloons over Cappadocia.  Then, this happened. We spent a lot of time debating where to go instead. If you read that post (or the title to this one…) you can already guess where we headed. But our quick layover in Doha had us briefly considering a stop in the Middle East–we just didn’t have enough time to research where, exactly. Though we didn’t exit the airport in Qatar this time, we did…

    style spotter: autumn weekend

    October 20, 2013 /

Fresh off a weekend in our hometown in Bucks County, PA, here’s what I know: I really love autumn. I could be biased (read: definitely biased) because I’m an October baby, but I could be happy in this type of weather all year round. This weekend included delicious food, gorgeous weather, copious wine, and of course, all things pumpkin. I’ll leave the details for another post, and instead, share my weekend wardrobe. My autumn essentials? Riding boots, a good pair of skinny jeans, and an oversized sweater.  Want to shop my autumn look? Visit my Polyvore profile— and hey, while you’re at…

five must-sees in thailand’s two big cities

    October 17, 2013 /

Everyone and anyone who has been to Thailand was appalled by our itinerary. Not only did we not dedicate the required three month minimum it apparently takes to “properly” see Thailand, but we also skipped the beaches. Instead, we decided to spend our time exploring Thailand’s two big cities. The thing is… I love a gorgeous beach. I love relaxing in the sun! YES to listening to the ocean and dozing in and out between pages of a good book!  But, I also know that I am VERY, VERY PALE. This means that I love that whole experience, like, twice…

    the romantic’s #LTeuropa highlights

    October 15, 2013 /

Psh, you didn’t think I was going to let the wino re-live her favorite #LTeuropa moments without diving into my own, did you? Alas, after reading her post, I realized… our favorite moments overlap, like, a lot. This probably shouldn’t surprise you, but I was hard pressed to come up with things I loved more than the wine, the road trip and the reunion. But then I remembered: I spent two weeks in Europe with the hubs and two of our best friends. It’s actually harder to narrow down my highlights because really, pretty much everything was a highlight. So,…

    the wino’s #LTeuropa highlights

    October 14, 2013 /

With the retelling of our harrowing experience in a Viennese dungeon (you know you want to click that link), our #LTeuropa coverage is coming to end. Which, truth be told, kind of makes me want to crawl into a ball and weep. Sadly, I have no trips to Europe in the near future, and even sadder, no way to see the romantic until the spring. Woe is me. WOE. IS. ME. Because you can never have too much of a good thing (or because I’m refusing to let it go), here’s one more trip down #LTeuropa lane. Eastern European Wine…
