    #LTGoWithOh bucket list item 5

    May 20, 2013 /

It’s #LTgowithoh bucket list item time! We don’t mean to brag, but the countdown to our epic reunion adventure is under ONE MONTH away. Cha, we know. Ridiculous. This means our bucket list is growing by the minute. We’ll try not to overwhelm you, but know this. The number of planning posts is going to increase in direct proportion with our level of excitement. You have been warned. So,what else must we do while traversing Eastern Europe for the very first time? Visit Prague. Photo Credit: the lovely Leah Travels We’ve said it from the very beginning: we’re drawn to…

hotel highlight: first landing beach resort

    May 19, 2013 /

Because we wanted to spend the majority of our time in Fiji in the Yasawas, we sadly said goodbye to Taupo and John after our short visit at Danny’s Village Homestay, and made our way back toward Nadi. Stop #2 in Fiji: First Landing Beach Resort in Lautoka. Another friendly TTF driver, Rishi, came and picked us up in the afternoon. We opted for a shuttle, so he made a second stop at a nearby resort. A group of Australians hopped on, including an eight-year-old boy. The roads in Fiji can be pretty bumpy, so it wasn’t surprising when the…

    foodie break: bangpop, melbourne

    May 15, 2013 /

I’m interrupting myself: it’s time to take a momentary mini-break from Fijian recaps, and fast forward to Melbourne for a minute. The biggest reason? I’m starting to forget one of the best meals we’ve had on this trip thus far, and I just can’t let that happen. Enter: BangPop. When we arrived in Melbourne, we were invited to try out a new Thai street food-inspired restaurant called BangPop, situated in an up and coming neighborhood called South Wharf. As an out-of-towner (or, more accurately, an other-side-of-the-worlder), I wasn’t loving local reactions when we said we had Saturday night dinner plans…

jetsetters: nadine of tales from saigon

    May 14, 2013 /

Hello friends and fellow travel lovers! It’s our favorite day of the week (next to Wine Wednesday and Friday and Saturday and Sunday, of course). It’s JETSETTER day! Meet Nadine of Tales From Saigon. She grew up in the West Indies, first traveled solo at 17, and has ridden on the back of a motorcycle taxi. This makes her infinitely cooler than us. She quit her job and moved to Vietnam for sixteen months, where she fell in love with Pho. We’ll let her tell you the rest. Favorite Place: Wow, this is a really hard question considering how many amazing…

    #LTGoWithOh bucket list item 4

    May 13, 2013 /

We’re getting closer and closer to our great Eastern European adventure, and our minds are reeling with possible bucket list items to add to our itinerary. As if this comes as a surprise to anyone, we decided we couldn’t spend a week in Vienna without a pilgrimage to the motherland. And by motherland, we of course mean wine country. #LTGoWithOh Bucket List Item 4 Visit Wine Country Austria could not make it any easier for wine lovers. Vienna’s 700 hectares of vineyards are connected through a central wine trail, which you can walk once a year in the fall when it…
