vacations for everyone: pug edition
This time next week, the hubs and I will have arrived in Amsterdam, ready to conquer the next 10 days. We’re excited to escape New York for a few days, but we will miss one major thing about our life here: our pug! One of the big reasons people shy away from having a dog is because of travel, and we can see why. Lucky for us, our families live close enough to give him a little vacation of his own.
Parker Jones has become quite the seasoned traveler since we rescued him four years ago, but alas, flying our dog to Europe is not an option… for about a million reasons. Frankly, even if it was a feasible possibility, it wouldn’t be that fun. He’s kind of a punk about being left alone in a new place. Instead, this Sunday we’ll be passing the pugman off to my in-laws for the next 2-3 weeks. Don’t feel too sad that he’ll be missing out on all the beer and mussels that await us, because Master P gets around.
Found as a stray on the mean streets of Queens, he’s now a pro at long car rides.
He’s lounged on the Washington Mall
He’s made life-long friends on ski weekends in New Hampshire
And life-long enemies in Bucks County, PA
He loves his little getaways, but when it comes down to it, he’s a city pug at heart. And just like us, in two weeks he’ll make his way back to New York… a little less anxious to escape:
(We’ll be back next week with less crazy posts, but seriously: if you’re able to think rationally and normally the last Friday before vacation, you deserve a medal).
Happy weekend!!

Great Photos of the Pugster!
the Hubs
That pug clearly has a lot of stress in his life. Thank goodness he gets a break every now and then.
Momacita
Dad and I love this, it made a great start to our day. He should have his own calendar. Love Ya!
The Wanderer (aka sistahval)
I think you left out another life-long enemy from PA… regardless, love the post!
the lazy travelers
hmmm does this enemy start with an “s” and end with an “achi-monster?” he’s impossible to catch on film! he’s the loch ness monster of toy dogs.
