the [extremely] lazy girl’s guide to 48 hrs in DC

    March 21, 2016 /

It’s hard to believe that over a year has gone by since Sean and I got married over pizza and wine on a cold January afternoon. So much has happened over the last year, and yet, it still seems like yesterday. But something that actually was far more recent? A little escape via 48 hrs in DC. Our first year of marriage has been filled with more good times than we could have ever hoped for. As our first anniversary got closer and closer, we knew we wanted to take some time away. Even if only a few days, we…

style spotter: what’s in our bag? + a giveaway with lumsing ** NOW CLOSED **

    March 17, 2016 /

If you follow us on Instagram, then you may have noticed we were together in London. The wino flew over for a long weekend for one very important mission: to finally meet Margot! Armed with goodies galore, we discussed her carry-on packing methods for weeks. As it turns out, we may not have mastered the general art of packing. But, we have a few favorites that always make their way into our carry-ons on travel day. When Lumsing reached out to us, we thought it was finally time to address a common question. Wondering what’s in our bag? Let’s discuss!…

travel announcement! lazy baby’s first adventure…

    March 9, 2016 /

I realized yesterday that I haven’t been on a plane since the end of November, and I haven’t left London since the first week of December. Parenting DOES change you, it turns out. This is the longest stretch of time I haven’t traveled since… I don’t even know! Luckily, as of Saturday, that is all about to change. That’s right! We’re about to embark on lazy baby’s first adventure. We’re getting out of our little London bubble, and heading off to celebrate two big birthdays next week: Margot’s 2nd month, and my 360th. In case your mom-math isn’t so great……

    February 22, 2016 /

It’s hard to believe that it’s been more than two months since my Mom, Mari and I were hopping from Christmas market to Christmas market across Switzerland. The time may have flown by, but fret not, my fellow Swiss lovers, I haven’t forgotten one bit about our epic adventure. I still have so much to share! Over the course of a week, we traveled by train to Geneva, Verbier, Bern, and Lucerne. Finally, we ended our time with one night in Lausanne. You may remember that the romantic and I visited Lausanne a few years back. We spent two snowy…

foodie break // the lazy girl’s guide to london eats

    February 17, 2016 /

SO, now that I’ve told you all my fave London eats around Notting Hill (so far), I figure it’s only fair that I widen the search a little bit. As expected, we’ve stayed in our little neighborhood bubble quite a bit over the past year and a half. But there’s obviously tons more to see — and eat! — around this fine city. Clearly, this is by no means a comprehensive list. This is basically just a random assortment of London eats and places we’ve liked. These are also places that, if you’re exploring central London, are never too far…
